Who we are
I am Corey Bright, lead instructor at Bright Baseball Academy. My baseball journey began at Knox Central High School, where I graduated in 2019. I played summer ball for the Kentucky Mustangs Arsenal (2018-2019) before becoming a pitcher at NCAA Division I Western Carolina University, where I further developed my skills and learned from some of the best collegiate and hall-of-fame coaches in the sport. During my career, I also competed with the Kansas Hays Larks in 2022 (Rocky Mountain Baseball League).
With over five years of experience as a personal instructor, I’ve built strong relationships with college coaches, professional players, and scouts, giving me a unique perspective on the paths athletes can take to succeed. In 2024, I returned to my roots as the Pitching Coach for Knox Central High School. After my time there, I opened Bright Baseball Academy to dedicate myself fully to developing young athletes.
At Bright Baseball Academy, my mission is to help athletes improve their skills, achieve their dreams of playing at the collegiate level, and grow into well-rounded individuals. I believe in fostering both personal and athletic development by focusing on daily progress and embracing the mindset of getting 1% better every day. Baseball has given me so much, and I’m passionate about passing that on to the next generation of players.
